Discovery By Design

This leave-behind wasn’t created to be skimmed. It was built to be experienced. Working within tight brand guidelines and a limited budget, the solution relied on simplicity, using format, pacing, and materials to create its impact.

The outer wrap featured headlines built around the ampersand in the Bates Chi logo, revealing the message only after the string was untied. That brief moment of friction slowed the interaction and introduced a sense of discovery, elevating the piece from disposable collateral to something worth keeping. The interior layouts were structured with flexibility so they could support different client categories and pitch scenarios while still maintaining a unified visual language.

The result is a modest shift in format that delivered something harder to achieve. It created a piece people remembered after the meeting ended, reinforcing the agency’s voice through an experience that was tactile, intentional, and distinctive.
